JournoTECH is managed and owned by two distinguished investigative media organisations: The Colonist Report UK (registered in the UK as The Colonist International Ltd, registration number 15222317) and The Colonist Report Africa (registered in Nigeria as The Colonist Africa Ltd.), both committed to building a future where everyone has the tools they need to succeed.
Despite being owned by both The Colonist Report UK and Africa, JournoTECH operates independently, with a distinct mission and focus. While The Colonist Report UK and Africa primarily focus on journalism and media reporting, JournoTECH is dedicated to empowering journalists, students, educators, newsrooms, and marginalized communities while fostering digital equity through accessible media and tech training. Our unique approach emphasizes skill development, advocacy for digital rights, and creating opportunities for underrepresented groups in the digital space.
In some instances, particularly those involving investigations aligned with JournoTECH’s focus areas, we collaborate with The Colonist Report UK, Africa, and other independent investigative media outlets to achieve our shared objectives.
